Description

[2013 | 12 | 15] Update:: Redrew Paige's application picture, and modified her design slightly. I haven't drawn this girl since coming up with her and I'm hoping that, with this redesign, it'll change.
Along with the design change I fleshed out her character a little more -adding to her personality a bit and giving her a history.

If you want to rp drop me a comment; Paige needs to meet people! She has no friends. ; u ;
--------------------------------------
Got enough points to buy myself a second character! Such an exciting moment~ ; u ;
I've never had a female rp character before, so it's going to be a little weird, but I think this would be a very good chance and give me an excuse to draw girls more often, so I can learn how to draw them again.

:iconpoke-village:
Name: Paige Abbey
Pokemon: #445 Garchomp bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wik…
Age: 20 years
Birthday: April 2nd (Aries)
Gender: Female
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 122 lbs
Sexuality: Straight
Relationship Status: Single

Ability: Sand Veil -Increases evasion in a sandstorm and potentially creates immunity to it
Move Set:
- Dragon Rage
- Sandstorm
- Take Down

Personality:
A determined girl with a heart of gold, Paige is full of life and eager to contribute to society in any way she can. She's always ready to offer a helping hand; her job as an ambulance worker complimenting this trait nicely. A young upstart ready to face the working world, she's ready and willing to share her medical knowledge and heal people the best she can. Though her job can be a high-stress one Paige has a natural talent of being able to keep a level head, and it takes a lot to upset her. She loves people and enjoys having the opportunity to work with them (even if they aren't always exactly healthy). She also takes great pleasure in simple conversation -even if she isn't much of a talker.

And though she has the best intentions, it doesn't always seem that way.

Because of her job, Paige is almost always on her toes and can never seem to stay in one place for too long without her nerves taking hold. As well, Paige will always speak whatever is on her mind -she has a very weak filter, if there even is one at all. Sometimes this will result in opinions shared that would have been better left unspoken, some of which makes her appear cold and distant. Still, Paige rarely knows when she's gone too far as she's very oblivious to people's emotions. Unless someone just flat out states what it is they're feeling, it is likely that Paige will continue being blind and potentially make situations worse.

Personality Summarized:
(+) Dedicated, (+) Kind, (+) Helpful, (+) Level-headed, (/) Not a big talker, (-) On the Edge, (-) Speaks her Mind, (-) Oblivious to other people's feelings, (-) Sometimes appears Cold/Distant

History:
Born to the daughter of two renowned surgeons Paige saw very little of her parents and was instead raised by her sickly grandmother.
Despite her parents' inability to spend much time with her -their jobs taking up too much of their time- Paige never held anything against them and instead always looked forward to their times together. Because no matter how short, they were the only reminder she needed of how much they loved her.
But even with her love for them, Mr. and Mrs. Abbey were not the most important people to this young girl: that honour goes to her grandmother.

In the early days she was a woman filled with life, love and laughter; and even in the days when her health began to fail, Paige's grandmother was a wonderfully generous woman who loved Paige dearly. She adored the girl and would often shower her with gifts, and was more than willing to give her advice whenever she asked. -But there were some things in life that even the wise, old woman didn't have answers for.
Throughout her elementary through high school years Paige was a dedicated student, passionate about her studies and her clubs. She was smart and quick to catch on, but there was always a question that haunted her. A question she could never answer, and therefore could never go away: "what did she want to do with her life?" Sure people expected her to follow in her parents footsteps and follow the doctor route, but is that really want she wanted? All throughout her 11th year of schooling she prayed that some kind of sign would show itself and nudge her in the right direction and, that summer, her wish came true, but in the most unexpected of ways.
As usual she had been spending the afternoon with her grandmother, talking nonsense as she helped the old woman around the kitchen. Laughing, Paige had looked away and when she looked back, it was like time had slowed down. Her grandmother -though fine moments before- had seemed to have kind of dizzy spell that caused her to slip. It wasn't the slip that was bad, though, it was the fall -she had smashed her head against the tabletop and slouched, unconscious onto the ground. Panicked, Paige dialed 911 and in what seemed like minutes, help had arrived. It was a first response team.

For Paige, the next few hours went by as a kind of blur. She didn't snap out of it until she was reassured that her Grandmother would be okay. And told, almost harshly, that she was lucky the paramedics had been there so quickly; otherwise, they weren't sure she would be so stable.
And it was when thanking these same paramedics execessively that Paige finally came to realize what she wanted to do. She wanted to help people; she wanted to work in the medical field.....but not like her parents. She wanted to be at the front of the line: rushing to act and secure a situation before things got out of hand. She had a level head....it could work. And so with her her final year approaching she vowed to work harder than ever to help accomplish this dream. And her grades reflected this dedication; before the 12th grade had even finished she had been offered a scholarship for a medical school that could train her to be a paramedic. Paige accepted.

After graduating she moved onto the university's campus and began to train with other people who wanted the same as her. Dedicated, she worked extremely hard every single day, and years later, her hard work paid off. One of the best in her class Paige had a preposition handed to her from her professor -a chance to go and experience the field first hand with the professionals. Though nervous about the opportunity, Paige knew that this internship was too good an opportunity to pass up, and so she accepted. She was given a name of places who were accepting interns, and as she read through and studied them, one stuck out to her. It was a small village -not so new, but in the scheme of things, just started out. Pokemon Village it was called. With a nod of her head and a letter sent Paige set out for the village, taking her first step into the real world.

Likes:
- Books (Mostly mystery/horrors novels)
- Learning (Always eager to know more)
- The Interwebs
- Video Games (Though she is pretty awful at them)
- Having Free Time (Because she doesn't get it very often)
- Thunderstorms
- Sparring
- Being Praised (Mostly work-related/by people in her line of work)
- Cooking

Dislikes:
- People taking away things she deems to be hers (Whether that be things or people)
- Being angry (She's freaky when she's angry)
- Text Speech
- Chocolate (Unless it's more then 75% cocoa)
- Open Spaces (She's slightly agoraphobic)
- Being teased (Can't tell when people are joking most of the time)

Additional Information:
- Sometimes she will spout medical facts relevant to the current situation. This usually ends up being kind of spooky, and can even make her appear heartless because of her usually objective way of describing another person or thing.
- Since she's so bad at reading emotions, oftentimes she will analyze the other person by watching their mannerisms, breathing rate and facial colouring. When this happens she's usually spot on, or completely in the wrong direction.
- She has a moderate resistance to alcohol, but get her tipsy and she'll become a a talkative bundle of energy.
- Isn't really a girly-girl, nor is she much of a tomboy. She's kind of the awkward in between who fluctuates between the two depending on what the topic is.
- Is enamoured by airplane and jet technology. Dreams of having the opportunity of driving a plane one day, but is too embarrassed to do anything about it.
- Never had a boyfriend, and is pretty blind when it comes to romance. Usually has no idea when a guy's trying to flirt with her -because of how oblivious she is- but once it clicks she gets really nervous around said person and constantly blushes. Especially if she likes them back.

Roleplays:
I'm up to rp with anyone and everyone in the group! >3< I'm both a lit. and script rp-er.
If you're interesting please send me a note -or drop a comment and I'll send you a note if you'd prefer. xD

Ah Paige; do you still have her or did you get rid of her? I can't remember. ^^;
None the less, she is such a pretty gal, and I love the fact that she works with the Ambulance I can see Camael flirting with her mercilessly xD
You did a great job with her design; not too simple, yet practical for a girl who has to work in first response.
For some reason, I'm really drawn to characters in the medical field. You did a great job with his history; she's such a competent young woman~ And gosh, she just has the sweetest personality~ I really want Camael to flirt with her now xD
